Summary

In the Estudio de Arte → Nuevo concepto section, several text elements remain untranslated when the platform language is set to Spanish. The issue affects multiple concept creation cards, where English text persists despite the selected language setting.

Issue Description

When opening the Nuevo concepto dialog in the Art Studio module, most concept templates display their titles and descriptions in English (e.g., Character turnaround, Prop / item, Environment key art). Only the first option, En blanco, appears correctly translated. This inconsistency breaks localization standards and affects user experience for Spanish-speaking users.

Preconditions

User must have Spanish selected as the display language.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to SpikerSoft Learn.
  2. Navigate to Estudio de Arte → Conceptos.
  3. Click Nuevo concepto.
  4. Observe the language of the concept options.

Expected Result

All concept titles and descriptions should appear fully translated into Spanish, maintaining consistency with the rest of the interface.

Actual Result

  • Only “En blanco” is translated.
  • Other concept options remain in English.
  • Descriptions and labels are not localized.

Evidence

  • The screenshot shows the Nuevo concepto dialog with mixed-language content.
  • English text is visible in concept cards such as Character turnaround, Prop / item, and Stylized chibi.

Impact

  • Breaks language consistency across the Art Studio module.
  • Reduces accessibility and usability for Spanish-speaking users.
  • Suggests incomplete localization coverage.

The six cards stay in English because they are seeded presets, not UI strings. "En blanco" is the only one that comes from the translation files. The seeder writes those presets once and never updates them, so changing the seed catalog would not fix production, and storing Spanish in the database would make the English UI Spanish too.

The chooser now translates a name or a description only while it still matches that original English seed. If someone on staff has renamed or rewritten a preset, that field stays as they saved it.

In progress, and blocked from merge until the tests are green: spikerj/spikersoft-angular#1173

The Spanish wording is queued for a native-speaker pass (Hoja de personaje, Objeto / accesorio, Arte clave del entorno, Diseño de criatura, Chibi estilizado, Sprite pixel / retro).

Frontend CI finished green and the fix is merged: spikerj/spikersoft-angular#1173 (merge b58fb43).

Lint, typecheck, unit tests, the production build, both e2e jobs, and publish all succeeded. Please retest Estudio de Arte → Conceptos → Nuevo concepto on a build that contains that merge. The six starter cards should be Spanish while they still have the original English seed text. A preset someone has renamed or rewritten on purpose will still show the saved wording.

SonarQube reported two accessibility findings on the card buttons (role="listitem" on a <button>). Those did not block the merge.

Closing in the 2026-09-27 tracker sweep — already implemented.

Fixed by spikerj/spikersoft-angular#1173: the six seeded starter cards in Estudio de Arte -> Nuevo concepto now render in Spanish while they still carry the original seed text (staff-renamed presets keep their saved wording). A native-speaker wording pass remains optional polish.

Reopen if this still needs work.
